Mass Assign Primary Instrument

We would appreciate a faster way to assign primary instruments to students.
We do not know which instrument a student will play when we would add them to the database.

Once we know, it will take forever to click edit on each student and select their instrument. Then go back and click edit on the next student and select their instrument.
This feature could easily look like it does to mass assign student to ensembles and could even be placed in the same page.
